I have been a little obsessed by kids furniture lately as I redoing my daughter’s room in view of the arrival of her little sister. I came across this “reversible” armchair designed in 1953 by Genevieve Dangles and Christian Defrance. The chair evolves with the child, as he grows, it can be turned upside down. Definitely has a timeless feel to it but could not manage to get hold of one so far, so if you do know, please contact me. Have a wonderful day.
i’ve never seen anything like that before! what beautiful wood. i love kids furniture too (my three-year-old has a panton junior which looks great with a very old wooden kids desk)
It looks quite contemporary isn’t it? A reedition would be great… I like the Panton Junior as well. Not that easy to find nice kid furniture actually…. Btw, are you going to Maison&Objets next week in Paris? I am – would be nice to meet up! x
are you familiar with peter’s chair and table by hans wegner? very sweet! sadly not going to m+o this year; my travels have been curbed a lot since having said three-year-old. but i have been before – it’s amazing. enjoy!!
Will do – hope it is going to be a nice edition. my fav for kids are the chair and table from unto it last -although the Peter’s are really nice as well. Enjoy the rest of the weekend x
