This beautiful Grade II listed house is home to Mark and Sally Bailey, who run the online store Baileys where you can buy beautiful retro findings for the home (try http://www.baileyshome.com/). It has been comprehensively restored and refurbished by the couple and has this lovely feel of a timeless place.
To add a little background, the property was built at the beginning of the 19th century at a time when a nearby church was being refurbished and some of the finer elements that were being removed from the church, such as a 100-paned gothic-arched window, were repurposed in the build. In the 20th century, the house was home to the artists Eugene Fisk and Elizabeth Organ, who also used it as a gallery.
It is now for sale … With over its 3000 sqf and its six bedrooms, it makes me want to open a B&B on the country side.. Anyone with a little extra cash willing to help?
